Dress Hire
Many of us only want to wear that high impact dress one time only, so it makes sense to pay for a one-time use!
Dress hire fees are based on approx 15% of the retail price of the dress, so an outfit that would retail for $1,000 would be hired out at around $150 including GST and cleaning. Our average dress hire fee is around $125. Minor adjustments to the dresses, such as hemming, is a little extra.
A $40 deposit is required on all dress bookings and this is generally non-refundable.
We also charge a refundable bond for security that the dress will be returned in good condition. The bond value depends upon the value of the dress.
Clients are required to sign a letter of responsibility outlining their obligations to look after the dress.
Dress hire is generally for up to 3 days or by negotiation if the client is heading out of town (subject to availability and possibly additional fees depending upon the duration of the trip).
Some of our gowns have even been on cruises, to Europe and the US!
They have a way better social life than we do!
School Ball Season
The ball season is very exciting for us and we look forward to meeting lots of our current and new clients in our new premises this year!
Due to the high numbers of clients wanting to try-on and hold dresses between February and August we have put in place the following policies to ensure everyone gets to go to the ball in the dress they want:
- We know how important getting the right dress is and so we are happy to hold your ‘dress’ booking for a maximum of 24 hours while you make your final decision. A deposit is payable after this time to secure your booking.
- No deposits are refundable for school ball hires – we know how changeable you girls can be sometimes! We will refund the deposit if for any reason your booked dress is unavailable (due to exceptional circumstances) and we will do our very best to find you an even better dress.
- Each girl is welcome to try-on 5 dresses free of charge, but after this there is a small try-on fee of $25 for further dresses. This is to cover wear and tear on the dresses and ensure that everyone gets to try on the things they like in good condition. The try-on fee counts towards your hire fee if you book a dress.
- A small number of our dresses are not suitable for school ball hire due to their delicacy or cost but we will advise you on which ones these are at the time!
- We don’t mind you taking photos of yourselves in the dresses, after all you need to know how your total look will come together.

Check out our fabulous range of genuine designer handbags for hire or purchase. Our handbag for hire range represents some of the biggest names in fashion and these are available for hire at unbelievable prices. Hire by the week or by the month with prices starting as low as $50 per week plus GST.
There are a few simple steps to hiring a bag.
- JOIN our list of clients by accepting the terms and conditions of hire – please complete and sign the attached pdf terms & conditions document and either post or fax it back to us on 09 585 1116.
- CHOOSE a bag you would like and indicate how long you would like to hire it for. Complete the attached Letter of Responsibility PDF or give us a call on 0508 Secret and we will get your credit card details and complete the hire information.
- ENJOY the bag for as long as you like! We will charge the original rental to your card each week or month (in advance) until you let us know that you are returning it. Delivery fees apply.
- RETURN the bag when you are ready! We include the return courier information for you so all you have to do is call the courier to come and collect it and also e-mail us so we know to expect it! You can also return it in person to our Parnell boutique.
- BUY -If you can’t bear to part with the bag, we will be happy to provide you with a price to purchase. Bear in mind these are expensive bags! We will consider how many times the bag has been rented, the cost to us in replacement, the exclusivity of the bag, etc, when working out the price. If you accept the price offered, we will put the purchase through on your card and we will forward to you any purchase documentation, the original tags, dustbag, etc, so you have the complete record of its authenticity.

Letter of Responsibility
Jewellery Hire
This works in the same way as the dress hire. Firstly, select your item, then pay the hire fee and the refundable bond and wear the jewellery as part of your dress hire or with something of your own.
We are pleased to offer discounts on jewellery hire as part of a total hire package including a dress hire.
Clients are required to sign a letter of responsibility outlining their obligations to look after the items they have hired.
Jewellery hire is for approx 3 days but longer periods of hire can be negotiated for additional fees.
Borrowing your Designer clothing
If you have a stunning designer outfit you can’t bear to part with, but would like to earn a little extra cash from, then lend us your outfit and we will share the rental income with you (after costs such as cleaning and maintenance).
The garment must…
- be more formal in style, i.e. cocktail or evening wear
- be from a named international designer, especially Chanel!
- be in excellent condition with no damage and no marks
- not have been altered to make it unsuitable for future adjustments
